大学英语写作是英语教学中的一个薄弱环节,也是英语学习中的一项重要技能。在教学实践中,笔者发现很多学生在语篇的组织、思想的表达和条理结构上缺乏连贯感和整体感。英语写作中,语篇的主位和述位之间的规律决定了语篇语义的发展和走向。把握主位和述位在语篇中的具体联系,有益于提高对语篇组织结构的理解。本文分析主位和述位在语篇中的构建以及在行文构思时实现语篇衔接清晰连贯的可能性之间的规律和联系,进而探讨将其应用到大学英语写作中的可能性。
College English writing is a weak link in English teaching and an important skill in English learning. In teaching practice, I found that many students lack the sense of coherence and sense of unity in the organization of discourse, the expression and the structure of thought. In English writing, the rules between the main theme of the discourse and the rheme determine the development and trend of discourse semantics. Grasping the concrete connection between thematic and rheme in discourse helps to improve the comprehension of discourse structure. This article analyzes the laws and connections between the construction of thematic and rheme in discourse as well as the possibility of achieving a coherent cohesion of textual cohesion, and then discusses the possibility of its application in college English writing.
