中山医科大学肿瘤医院与广州市第六人民医院（以下简称总院与市六院）经双方上级主管部门批准，于1996年12月23日正式签约达成协议，联合创办中山医科大学肿瘤医院市六分院（以下简称分院）。从开院至今半年，已开设病床90张，收治肿瘤病人352例（其中外科191例，内科161例），
