色彩语言是漆画造型表现的重要形式,它本身就能传达某种东西。色彩在漆画中的单向发展无疑是不利于当今艺术语境下漆画的整体发展。东方传统的色彩语言象征了人与人之间的社会性,这种社会性包含了对身份,地位及财富等的象征;西方的色彩语言是对客观事物再现的一种表现,另外它又更高层次的表现自我精神、感受及表达作者个性等。所以东西方色彩语言有着本质的差异,不同的色彩语言运用于漆画的创作表达当中都会呈现出不同的画面视觉感受,漆画在当今的艺术环境中向着多元化的发展是必然的趋势,东西方色彩语言的相互渗透结合,会让漆画语言表现体系更加完善和丰满。
