商业油库为减轻劳动强度、提高经济效益、确保油库安全生产,在油罐液位控制中应用了气动技术。自1985年9月运行以来,效果良好。优点是:消除了因向危险区域通电有可能引起火灾的隐患;使用元件少,易于安装、操作和检修;安装费用低,如与付油作业的净化气源共用一套设备,则费用更少;减轻了劳动强度,提高了工作效率,避免了冒油事故。但值得注意的是:气源必须净化干燥;为提高讯号传递速度,应尽量缩短气管路;加启停泵电路时,应布置在安全场所或采取防爆措施。缺点是:传递速度不如电控快,每秒只有50m左右。
