水上椅子美国研制出一种新颖的椅子,由纤维包层垫、乙烯基薄膜构成,椅子有头枕和扶手。由于采用的材料很轻,椅子在水上的浮力很大,人坐其上能自由自在地飘浮。国外还出现了一种水上安乐椅,它呈斜坡形,长185厘米,宽95厘米,可平稳地浮在水面上,适合海滨浴场使用。它的顶部装有一把彩条太阳伞,用来遮阳,踏板处有4个控制器,用来控制方向,并附有两把划桨,乘坐者躺在靠背椅上,前后划桨,推动椅子前进、后退。
