最近,组织培养已成为木薯育种,特别是木薯种质的收集、交换和保持的重要手段。据报道,已有若干植物种能自试管培养的外植体上萌发花芽,但从未观察到试管木薯开花。根据木薯选种最近趋向于选择迟开花和无分枝木薯基因型,诱导试管木薯开花的方法可能是迈向基因材料重组的第一步。
Recently, tissue culture has become an important tool for the collection, exchange and maintenance of cassava breeding, especially cassava germplasm. It has been reported that several plant species have been able to germinate flower buds from test-tube explants, but no flowering of test tube cassava has been observed. According to the recent trend of cassava selection to select late flowering and non-branching cassava genotypes, the induction of cassava flowering may be the first step toward genetic material recombination.
