在小学数学教育中,培养学生直接从图形图像中搜集、分析和处理信息的能力是一项非常重要的教学内容。《数学课程标准》指出:“要培养学生直接从图中搜集、分析和处理信息的能力。”低年级数学课本的特色之一就是通过形式多样、富于趣味性和可读性的图形图像呈现数学信息,学生学会看图、读图,搜集有关的数学信息,有助于理解基本的数学概念;学生对图意进行有序的描述,可以弄清算理,顺利解决问题。然而由于低年级的学生年龄小,对图形图像的理解能力有限,如何帮助学生正确读图,理解图意,提高学生的读图能力,成为低年级数学老师面对的一个重要课题。
