This volume contains Volumes 1 and 3 in a single Volume and is provided for inspection, in-service testing and inspection, and for repair and replacement of parts and systems in light water cooled and liquid metal cooled nuclear power plants rule. Volume 2 “Inspection and test rules for gas-cooled nuclear power plant components” has been deleted in the 1995 edition. With the decommissioning of the only gas-cooled reactor to which these rules apply, it is not necessary to continue publishing Volume 2. When the requirements for construction of the rules have been met, the specification of this volume begins to apply. The rules contained in this volume apply to the maintenance of nuclear power plants during their operation, re-commissioning of nuclear power plants after they have been decommissioned, and maintenance or replacement activities.
