供餐员是日本的学校、医院、老人院等单位食堂的工作人员。由于入行门槛低,成为许多再就业人员特别是女性的选择。供餐工作的特征是伙食制作分量大,卫生和时间意识强,同事间协同能力要求高,因此政府机构提供的免费短期技能培训内容非常严谨规范,充分体现职业性质。如此注重细节是培养受训生职业意识的最好手段,也是日本人职业素质的体现。
