古拉格强制劳动体系是斯大林统治时期苏联社会一个极富特色的政治-经济现象;它发端于苏俄内战时期,发展于苏联的两个五年计划时期,持续至战后的1950年代。古拉格强制劳动体系多以某一项建设工程为依托,组建专门的劳改营,以所属劳改营内的囚犯为主要劳动力来源,承担国家经济计划指定的建设工程。位于科雷马地区的“远北建设”就是其中的代表,反映了古拉格强制劳动体系的一些基本特点和运行机制。
The Gulag compulsory labor system is a very distinctive political-economic phenomenon in the Soviet society during the Stalinist reign. It originated in the Soviet-Russian civil war and developed during the Soviet Union’s two five-year plans until the 1950s after the war. Gulag forced labor system to rely more on a construction project, the formation of a special labor camp, prisoners in the labor camps as the main source of labor, to undertake the national economic plan designated construction projects. “Far North Construction”, located in the Kolema region, is one of the representatives and reflects some of the basic features and operating mechanism of the Gulag compulsory labor system.
