2008年5月14日,也就是汶川地震2日后,南海舰队某陆战旅抢险救灾部队紧急起程奔赴四川汶川地震灾区,舰队副司令员苏支前少将任指挥员和临时党委书记,随部前往灾区指挥抢险救灾。该旅共出动2750名官兵,各种车辆199台,向汶川地震灾区开进,以摩托化机动行进1800多千米,只用了43小时即抵达灾区。本则报道为随部队前往抗灾一线的军事记者撰写,截至发稿时,他们和陆战队员一样恪守军人的职责,仍战斗在抗震最前线。本刊在这里遥祝他们一切顺利、再立新功。英勇的海军将士万岁,英勇的人民子弟兵万岁!
