郫县在鼓足干劲、力争上游、多快好省地建设社会主义的总路线的指导下,苦战六十天,在获得早稻高额丰产的同时,于七月一日,扫除文盲31,568人(全县青壮年中非文盲达81.7％),成为温江专区第一个基本扫盲县。为了总结经验,中共温江地委、专署、团地委以及各县文教科干部共20人组成扫盲验收团,自七月十九日至七月二十五日,对该县九乡一镇的15个农业社,6个耕作区及居民、商业、建筑等三个系统共24个单位进行了验收。这24个单位共1,903户,10,173人,其中青壮年2,908人,原有半文盲1,665人,现在扫除的1,264人,连同原有非文盲1,229人共
Gifu County fought hard for 60 days under the guidance of the drive to develop socialism with great energy and enthusiasm for the upper reaches of the province, and at the same time of obtaining high yields of early rice, it wiped out 31,568 illiterate people on July 1. Young and middle-aged illiterates reached 81.7%), becoming the first basic literacy county in the Wenjiang area. In order to sum up experience, a total of 20 members of the Wenjiang Prefectural Party Committee, the Agency, the Prefectural Prefectural Party Committee, and the county’s cultural and educational cadres formed a literacy inspection and acceptance team. From July 19 to July 25, the township of Jiuxiang Township of the county was established.
