美国阿尔科公司制造了一种新型的耐高温铝合金,它能经受300℃的高温而不产生热变形,且可保持长期稳定,短时热稳定温度可达350℃。这种合金的组成为:铁8.3%,铈4%,其余是铝。它是将上述成分粉末化并使其成气体雾状化后迅速凝固而成的一种超微结晶结构材料,不仅耐高温,热稳定性好,而且具有较高的强度和良好的延展性,同时抗腐蚀性强。该铝合金具有广泛的用途。
