An experimental preparation of feedstock gas for methanol srnthesis by methane reforming with steam and CO2 has been investigated with newly prepared nickel-based catalyst SYM-1 in a simulated industrial theperature vanable fixed bed. It has been shown tha SYM-1 Catalyst was not deactivated during 500 h test and the synthesis gas for methanol production in industry can be prodaced This catalyst had excellent activity and the methane conversion reahed 95%. There was almost no carbon deposition on SYM-1 catalyst after lifetime test, and it had good mechanic strength. Pore distribution and XRD characterization show that the structure and properties of SYM-1 catalyst remained unchanged during lifetime test.
