The linguistic forms of translatable and untranslatable disputes have long existed. Cognitive linguists believe that human beings have a common thinking ability and a regular pattern of thinking. The commonality of human language reflects the commonality of human thinking. The existence of a large number of language commonalities enables people of different cultures to communicate and collaborate with each other, and it also has a positive impact on translation teaching. This thesis starts from the commonness of language, discusses the translatability of language form by taking poetry translation as an example, and shows that the study of language commonality has great significance for translation and translation teaching.
