益智书会与广学会都是近代来华传教士在我国创办的著名出版机构。作为晚清时期中外文化交流的媒介,它们虽都通过出版书籍、译介西书等方式传播了西方科技文化,给中国社会带来了新信息,并从一个方面推动了中国近代社会思潮与政治变革,但二者在发展理路上却存在诸多不同。本文主要从组织、出版书刊、成立背景、影响等方面分析二者的异同,旨在探析近代西人在华创办的出版机构发展的个性,进一步认识它们在晚清西学东渐中扮演的角色。 Puzzle Book Fair and Canton Fair are all modern Chinese missionaries founded in our famous publishing house. As a medium of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries in the late Qing period, though they both spread the western science and technology culture by publishing books, translating the Western books, etc., they brought new information to Chinese society and pushed forward the trend of thoughts and politics in modern China from one aspect Change, but there are many differences in the development of the two. This paper mainly analyzes the similarities and differences between the two organizations in the aspects of organization, publication, establishment, influence and so on. It attempts to probe into the personality of the development of publishing houses established by the Westerners in China in modern times and to further understand their role in the process of Western Learning in the late Qing Dynasty.
