控制型砂,最主要是控制物理性能,使够能完全合乎规定的要求。一股型砂的物理性能,可包括三个部分:属于通气方面的,有湿时或干时爱气性;属于成型方面的,有传动性、变形、韧度,以及各种强度如抗压力、抗张力、剪应力等;属于耐高温方面的,有热强度,胀缩性,容积变化、崩解速度与耐火点等。并且由于型砂的粒度,砂中所存的水份、含坭量、以及拌在砂里的粘结剂与红煤粉等不同,就使得型砂的物理性能发生很大的变化。因此要控制型砂的物理性能,就必须控制它的粒度、含水量、含坭量以及上面所说的几种因素。
