在清华大学图书馆中,不仅收藏有三十万册汉文古籍和少量满、蒙文古籍,还珍藏着一批不为外界所知的古彝文典籍。这批彝文典籍是在上个世纪的四十年代、由中国民族语言学的一代宗师——马学良先生亲自搜集得来的,内容非常丰富,除彝族的民间宗教经书外,还有家谱、医书、史书、民歌、历算等,广泛涉及西南地区的社会历史生活,流传稀罕,具有很高的研究价值。这批经书共约2100馀册,由国立北平图书馆长袁同礼呈文教育部,获经费购得。北平图书馆庋藏507册,加上15块《劝善经》明代雕版和12册汉文档册、写经
