宁夏,位于我国西部的黄河上游地区,东邻陕西省,西部、北部接内蒙古自治区,南部与甘肃省相连。疆域轮廓呈南北长、东西短,南北相距约456公里,东西相距约250公里,总面积6.6万多平方公里,占国土总面积的0.7%。作为黄河流经的地区,早在3万年前,宁夏就已有了人类生息的痕迹。1038年,党项部落的首领元昊在此建立了西夏王朝,并形成了独特的西夏文化。1958年,宁夏回族自治区成立。到2006年,全区共有汉族、回族、满族、东乡族、蒙古族等35个民族成分,其中回族人口211万人,占自治区总人口的35%。作为一名年轻的少数民族新闻工作者,宁夏回族自治区一直是记者十分向往的地方。未到宁夏之前,“塞上江南”、花儿的故乡、西夏王陵以及沙湖美景,记者便早已耳闻。在宁夏的8天时间里,中央媒体采访团从银川出发,沿着贯穿宁夏的京藏公路往南至最南端的固原市泾源县,再从最南端一个地方接一个地方来到最北端的石嘴山市惠农区。一路走来,记者见证了宁夏回汉各族人民50年来所取得的巨大成就。尤其正值2008北京奥运会举办这样特殊的日子,宁夏蓬勃发展的各项事业,犹如中国健儿夺得的一枚枚亮闪闪的奖牌,让人欢欣鼓舞。同样,我们也深深感受到,每一项成就的背后都离不开宁夏人民所付出的艰辛努力。
Ningxia, located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River in the western part of China, borders Shaanxi Province on the east, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on the north, and the Gansu Province on the south. Territory outline north-south long, things short, about 456 kilometers apart from north to south, about 250 kilometers apart from the total area of more than 66,000 square kilometers, accounting for 0.7% of the total land area. As the Yellow River flows through the region, as early as 30,000 years ago, Ningxia already had traces of human interest. In 1038, Yuan Hao, head of the party tribe, established the Western Xia Dynasty here and formed a unique culture of Xixia. In 1958, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established. By 2006, there will be 35 ethnic groups in Han, Hui, Manchu, Dongxiang and Mongol ethnic groups in the region, of which the population of the Hui people is 2.11 million, accounting for 35% of the total population of the autonomous region. As a young journalist of ethnic minorities, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has always been a place where journalists aspire. Before Ningxia, “stuffed Jiangnan ”, the hometown of flowers, the Western Xia Imperial Tombs and Shahu beauty, the reporter would have known. During the eight days in Ningxia, a media interview with the central media set out from Yinchuan and proceeded along the Beijing-Tibet Highway running through Ningxia to Jingyuan County in the southernmost part of Guyuan City. From the most southern part of the country to the northernmost one, Shizuishan Huinong District. Along the way, the reporter witnessed the tremendous achievements made by the people of all ethnic groups in Ningxia from the past 50 years. In particular, just as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games held such a special day, the vigorous development of Ningxia is like a brilliant medal won by Chinese athletes. Likewise, we deeply feel that behind every achievement we can not do without the arduous efforts of the people of Ningxia.
