Scoggins和Miller应用AmberliteXAD-2树脂从二磺酸衍生物和硫酸中分离了单磺酸衍生物。该树脂强烈吸附4-二酚基磺酸而且仅需甲醇洗提;这种树脂能在水溶性的有机化合物中分开,由于食用色素是水溶性的磺酸化合物,所以能成功地与该树脂分离。以前Takayoshi等曾用碳酸氢三乙基铵预先涂布树脂存留食用色素。在该工作中发现,当洗提液呈中性时,食用色素才能存留在柱床上,在酸性情况下,食用色素不会存留在柱上。两种不同浓度的甲醇-硫酸选择地浸提二磺酸衍生物(DSD)和三磺酸衍生物(TSD)食用色素,并用分光光度法作定量测定。
Amberlite XAD-2 resin was used by Scoggins and Miller to separate monosulfonic acid derivatives from disulfonic acid derivatives and sulfuric acid. The resin strongly adsorbs 4-diphenolsulfonic acid and is only eluted with methanol; this resin can be separated in a water-soluble organic compound, and since the food coloring is a water-soluble sulfonic acid compound, it can be successfully separated from the resin . Takayoshi et al. Used to pre-coat the resin with dietary bicarbonate to retain food coloring. It was found in this work that when the eluent is neutral, the food coloring remains in the bed, and in case of acidity, the food coloring does not remain on the column. Two different concentrations of methanol-sulfuric acid were used for the selective leaching of DSD and TSD food coloring and quantitated spectrophotometrically.
