婴儿及5岁以下儿童死亡率是衡量一个国家或地区经济、文化、卫生工作和妇幼保健工作质量的重要指标之一。本文通过对全县随机抽样的5个乡1994年5岁以下儿童死亡调查资料分析,提示:我县1994年平均婴儿死亡率62.62‰,5岁以下儿童死亡率75.14‰。死亡儿童中男、女性别差异较大;全县婴儿死亡占5岁以下儿童死亡83.33%,新生儿死亡占婴儿死亡75.38%;全县婴儿及5岁以下儿童死亡前5位死因依次是肺炎、出生窒息、意外窒息、早产、腹泻。5岁以下儿童死前医疗保健不足,死在家中或途中高达82.05%;
Infant and under-5 mortality rates are among the most important indicators of the quality of economic, cultural, health and maternal and child health in a country or region. Based on the data of 5 deaths of children below 5 years of age surveyed in 5 townships randomly sampled in this county in 1994, the average infant mortality rate in our county in 1994 was 62.62 ‰, and the mortality rate of children under 5 years old was 75.14 ‰. The deaths of children in men and women vary greatly; the county infant deaths accounted for 83.33% of children under 5 years of age, neonatal deaths accounted for 75.38% of infant deaths; the county infant and under-5 children were killed in the top five causes of pneumonia, Birth asphyxia, accidental suffocation, prematurity, diarrhea. Children under 5 years of age die of inadequate medical care, died at home or on the way up to 82.05%;
