少年的需求是多方面的,其中有两方面我们必须首先给予关注:一是精神成长的需要,二是解决成长问题的需要。著名学者、作家刘绪源选编的《少年人文读本》就是这样一套关注少年精神成长需要和注重解决少年成长问题的好书。这套书共三册,包括《见识》、《喜欢》和《不要怕》。刘绪源先生曾为《文汇报》副刊《笔会》主编,首届蒋风儿童文学理论贡献奖获得者。这套书的几个优点值得我们重视:一是拓宽了选本篇目的体裁。已往选本或读本多以小说、诗歌、散文、戏剧等文学体裁为主,论说文较少;本套书则在每个主题下穿插文学作品和论说文。笔者以 There are many needs for juveniles. There are two aspects in which we must first give attention: one is the need for spiritual growth, and the other is the need to address the issue of growth.
