We first look at the sites that provide service platforms for consumers. The most prominent sites of this type are auction sites such as Albemarle and Webhunting. They mainly use P to P, sometimes including B to C, to provide users with venues for merchandise purchase, bidding, and information exchange. The P to P method is good because the website does not have to bear too much responsibility. It only provides users with bidding venues and information, but it has less profit. Although B to C has more profit, the website has to take some risks in cooperation with the merchants. These two methods can be used to expand the user base for the website.
