内分泌机能的常规生化评定是基于测定尿液甾体水平或循环血浆激素的总浓度。然而,当考虑到血浆和尿液取样的某些限制时,重新唤起对唾液甾体分析的注意则不足为奇。唾液的甾体浓度与其流速无关并能反映血浆中“游离的”具有生物活性的激素水平。至今尚无可以测定血浆中游离甾体的常规方法,而最近在免疫分析技术方面的某些改进已允许发展一些适于常规应用的简易的唾液甾体分析法。对成年人和儿童均可频繁地采取唾液而且既不紧张也无伤害,因此,采取唾液的方法最适于进行短期动态学研究、药物动力学分析和研究时间生物学的变化。
The routine biochemical assessment of endocrine function is based on the determination of urinary steroid levels or the total concentration of circulating plasma hormones. However, it is not surprising to recapture the attention given to salivary steroid analysis when considering certain limitations of plasma and urine sampling. Salivary steroid concentrations are independent of their flow rate and reflect “free” bioactive hormone levels in plasma. To date there is no conventional method for determining free steroids in plasma, and some recent improvements in immunoassay techniques have allowed for the development of simple salivary steroid assays suitable for routine use. Saliva can be taken frequently both in adults and children and is neither stress nor injury. Therefore, the method of taking saliva is most suitable for short-term dynamic study, pharmacokinetic analysis and study of temporal biology.
