The necessity of electrostatic protection for isolated conductor in hazardous area is expounded. The electrostatic discharge mode of isolated conductor is analyzed. Some effective protective measures are given for the hidden danger of isolated conductor in hazardous area. The importance of pre-evaluation is pointed out.
