种草造林是改善黄土高原生态条件,保持水土,实现畜牧业稳定、高速度发展的一项根本措施,也是兴牧促农、治穷致富的重要手段。目前,在辽阔的黄土高原上适宜推广的牧草品种仅有数个,严重地影响了牧草的大量种植。由于黄土高原的气候干旱、严寒,从外地引进的优良牧草不能在此生长繁殖,因而如何选育出具有丰产、抗旱、抗寒、抗病虫害的优质牧草新品种,是目前牧草研究中的一项重要任务。最近几年,国外牧草的辐射育种工作发展较快,许多牧草科学家从本国的生产实践出发,育出了许多优质牧草新品种。为了解决黄土高原的牧草品种问题,促进当地的农林牧全面发展,现将国外的牧草辐射育种的进展情况介绍如下,以供牧草育种工作者参考。

In order to solve the problem of forage species in the Loess Plateau and promote the all-round development of the local agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and husbandry, the progress of radiation breeding of pasture in foreign countries is introduced as follows for the reference of pasture breeders.
