This article was to observe the protective effect of anisodamine (654-2) on ischemic myocardium in rats. It was found that early intraperitoneal injection of 654-2 after ligation of the left main coronary artery significantly reduced the infarct size at 6 hours and 21 days after ligation, and restored better left ventricular myocardial contractility at 21 days after ligation. Myocardial ultrastructural changes in the ischemic region were significantly improved. The direct hemodynamic effects of 654-2 on coronary artery ligation and non-coronary ligation showed a significant decrease in mean arterial pressure, cardiac output, and left ventricular myocardial contractility, suggesting that 654-2 can reduce myocardial oxygen consumption. It has a beneficial effect on ischemic myocardium.
