秀麦一号由辽宁省农科院育种所大麦室于1987年从浙江嘉兴市农科所引进,经过鉴选试种获得成功。该品种具有早熟、高产稳产、耐瘠薄、耐盐碱、抗性强、适应性广泛等特点。酿造品质优良,已成为我省啤酒大麦原料商品生产基地的主栽品种,适应于沙土地以外的平肥地、河滩地、盐碱地、水改旱地及灌溉区种植。是河滩地清障、躲灾的理想上茬,也是盐碱地改良的先锋作物,在间套复种中可与早熟水稻、高粱、玉米、养麦、谷子、大豆、向日葵等粮油作物以及多种蔬菜搭配种植,实现综合增产。针对辽宁省情、自然特,戍和两茬栽培需要,经过几年研究和实验,总结出了与秀麦一号相配套的栽培技术措施。其关键技术措施,如加大播云,靠主穗群体增产;定量施氨,亩施尿素不超过5公斤及增施磷钾肥作种肥一次施入,不施追肥;蜡熟中期刈硒收获等,不同于国内其它冬、春大麦产区,对辽宁产区高产栽培至关重要,对条件相近的产区,也有一定借鉴意义。
