Wang Bao was another master after Sima Xiangru in the literature history of Sichuan. On Dongxiao, his influential prose, was the first in literature to deal with music.Tongyue, another famous one was a typical humorous Han prose which accounted for the miserable life of slaves in West Han Dynasty. Although a writer in the palace for the Emperor, Wang Bao was the only one among the Han prose writers who could turn his eyes to the life of the slaves that lived at the lowest level of the society.Tongyue is known as the source of the present humorous essay.
