The correlation between different traits of peanut (Arachis hypogaca L.) revealed the relationship between pod yield and several traits, such as the number of first and second branches, the number of first and second branches, Ovary stalks, mature pods, and 100 kernel weight (Sangha and Sandhu, 1970). This experiment attempts to evaluate the direct and indirect relative contribution of each trait to yield using the simple correlation coefficient according to Wright’s (1921) path analysis method. Materials and Methods In the rainy season of 1970, 30 cultivated peanut varieties were grown at the pilot farm at Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana. Randomized block design, 4 repetitions.
