植物激素是一些具有生理活性、能调节和控制植物生长发育的物质.植物激素有两种:一种叫天然激素,一种叫人工合成激素.天然激素是植物本身进行代谢作用的产物,由于这种激素是在植物体内产生的,所以又叫内源激素.人工合成激素是人们模拟天然激素结构而合成的类似天然激素作用的物质,它们虽然不存在于植物体内,但可配成溶液喷洒到植物上,用以调节植物生长发育,所以又将它们叫做外源激素.
