张潮(1650—1708?),字山来,号心斋,又号三在道人,原籍新安(今安徽歙县),侨寓扬州,清初著名出版家。康熙十年(1671)起,张潮定居扬州,孔尚任《燕台杂兴四十首》径以“扬州张山来”称之。张潮诗作和小品颇丰,被时人誉为佳作。他在扬州开始了刻书生涯,以其才华、人缘和资金,热心为友人编书、刻书。所刻《昭代丛书》《檀几丛书》《虞初新志》等书,在后世产生重要影响,为他确立了文人、选家和刻书家的三重地位。张潮自撰的清言小品集《幽梦影》,引来海内文士百余人作评。上述四部著作在当时造成
Zhang Chao (1650-1708?), Word Hill, No. Heart vegetarian, No. three in Taoist, Xin’an origin (now Anhui Pixian), Overseas Residence Yangzhou, a famous early Qing Dynasty press. Ten years from the reign of Kangxi (1671), Zhang Chao settled in Yangzhou and Kong Shangren called “Forty First in Yantai Zixing” Trail to “Zhangshan Mountain in Yangzhou”. With his talent, popularity and money, he enthusiastically wrote and engraved books for his friends. Inscribed books such as “Zhaodai Series”, “Tan Tan Series” and “Yu Chu New Records” have an important influence on later generations and established the triple position of the literati, the elector and the engraver.
