[Objective] To determine the contents of trace elements in FLOS SOPHORAE of Kaili.[Method] Contents of trace elements including K,Ca,Zn,Fe,Pb and Cd in medical and edible FLOS SOPHORAE of Kaili were determined by combining microwave-assisted sample digestion with flame atomic absorption spectrometry.[Results] FLOS SOPHORAE was rich in K,Ca,Zn and Fe that were essential to human body;4 trace elements decreased according to content in the following order,Fe,Ca,K,Zn.Harmful heavy metal elements Cd and Pb were not detected in tested samples. The recovery and relative standard deviation(RSD)of these trace elements were 94.1%-110.0% and 0.54%-1.73%,respectively.[Conclusion] This research can provide scientific basis to assess medical value of local FLOS SOPHORAE.
