美国电话公司研制成一种综合数字控制系统的原型样机,它能选择和显示全部机载电台的工作模式和工作频率,功能上取代了大约11种单功能控制仪表。综合电台管理系统采用一对控制/显示器,为正、副驾驶员提供全面的通讯、导航和敌我识别的功能。此控制系统与用于新型Arinc 700系列电台的一组单功能控制仪表相比,性能相似,但前者占地面积减少100平方英寸,减轻重量36磅。尤为重要的是,从保养角度而言,它的可靠性提高5～6倍之多。
A prototype of a comprehensive digital control system was developed by the United States Telephone Company that can select and display the operating modes and operating frequencies of all airborne stations and functionally replace about 11 single-function control instruments. Integrated radio management system uses a pair of control / display, positive and co-pilot to provide comprehensive communications, navigation and foe recognition. This control system performs similarly to a set of single-function control instruments for the new Arinc 700 Series radio but reduces the former footprint by 100 square inches and weighs 36 pounds. More importantly, from the maintenance point of view, its reliability increased by 5 to 6 times.
