The authors studied the cytotoxic effect of two stainless steel inert gas shielded welding (MIG / SS) welding fumes and one stainless steel welding torch (MMA / SS) welding fumes using cultured human embryonic lung epithelial cells L 132. . The growth curves of cells after continuous exposure to welding fumes and the effect of ultrasonication on cell growth in MIG / SS welding fucose plus 100 μg / ml or 200 μg / ml and MMA / SS welding smoke at 5 μg / ml or 10 μg / ml were analyzed and observed The microstructure changes; the composition of the solder smoke is determined by energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) microanalysis. The results showed that the growth curve of cells in different concentrations of MIG / SS and MMA / SS welding smoke was different. Under the same concentration of MIG / SS welding smoke, the second MIG / SS with more than 60% SS (MIG / SS-2) solder smoke toxicity than the first MIG / SS (MIG / SS-1) solder toxicity.
