在音(视)频传输中一般可分为无线和有线两种方式,或根据传输的距离分为远距离(几十公里)、近距离(几十米到几百米)等。传输手段有传统的电缆、微波、调频等,随着光技术的进步,光纤传输也由模拟向数字化转变,可靠性和传输质量越来越高。因此,越来越多的领域开始采用光纤传输手段,在广播电视系统、节目传输系统、现场直播系统、会议电视系统,另外在环境监控、交通管理、安防监控系统等许多领域中都有广泛应用。
