中央电视台曾采访过武夷山的美食,兰花蛇丝、菊花石鳞腿、鸡茸金丝笋、茉莉石轮、泥锹粉丝、岚岩熏鸡、涮兔肉、吴吞鲤龟干、五夫田螺煲、上梅熏田鼠、锅贴豆腐等。武夷山,一个偏远山区会有那么多吸引人的美食,除了物产特殊外,更重要的是有一位大人物在这里主持讲学,他就是朱熹。相传朱熹在治学之余颇好美食,就自己动手制作。他制作的“十锦”,文人墨客雅集小趵,交口称赞,很快在乡村流传。因为朱熹谥号为“文公”,可以又叫“文公菜”。这里的学生在赶考前夕,家人必备此菜,祈愿考生才思敏捷,一举上榜。民间传说这是武夷山家制琼林宴,这道菜在山民间广为流传,(?)席上都用,已成为武夷山菜系的看家菜。文公宴还带出了幔亭宴、九曲宴、蛇宴等,把武夷山的地方宴推向一个高潮。
