“英语演讲”课从美国引入中国高校,自2005年起在全国推广,广受关注,发展迅速。然教学实践显示:其本土化改造迫在眉睫;其中一个基本问题是,其课程性质及相应的教学观含糊不清。本文旨在通过回应这一基本问题,探讨该课程在中国本土化改造的基本框架,认为“英语演讲”课在中国仍是一门英语语言课程,教学应采取“输出驱动、整合教学”的基本教学观,同时强调写作教学以及融入其中的逻辑思维培养。本文还论述了这一操作简便的教学方法的意义所在:一方面解决了中国教学中的实际问题;一方面实现了“公众演讲”的多重教学目标。
“English lecture ” class from the United States to China’s colleges and universities, since 2005 in the country to promote, widespread concern, rapid development. However, teaching practice shows that its localization is imminent. One of the basic problems is that the nature of the course and the corresponding teaching concept are vague. This essay aims at answering this basic question and discussing the basic framework of this course in its localization in China. It is believed that the “English Speech” class is still an English language course in China. Teaching should adopt “output-driven and integrated teaching ”The basic teaching concept, at the same time emphasizes the teaching of writing and into the logical thinking training. This article also discusses the significance of this easy-to-use teaching method: on one hand it solves the practical problems in teaching in China; on the other hand it realizes the multiple teaching objectives of “public speaking ”.
