随着社会经济的发展,科技、信息传播的全球化程度越来越高,弱势民族文化趋于消亡。苗族地区特别是武陵山片区苗族银饰服饰文化也面临消退,在现代设计领域如何对苗族传统银饰造型元素进行吸收与现代化改造,对传承和发扬武陵山片区苗族银饰艺术特色,保护苗族文化遗产,开发应用丰富的苗族银饰文化资源,促进苗族银饰产业发展,进而解决武陵山片区扶贫攻坚起着重要的作用。因此武陵山片区苗族文化特别是银饰文化越来越收到广大人民的广泛关注,成为各民族所喜好的装饰艺术品。对研究武陵山片区苗族传统银饰造型的现代性应用显得极为珍贵。
