In the paper,a brief survey of aircraft materials is presented,including the wooden material used for early aireraft,the widely used aluminium alloy for metal aircraft,the high-temperature alloy used for aero-engine,the Ti-alloy and the composite material used for the modern aircraft.The relation between the development of aircraft material and the progress of aviation technology is discussed and the mode and law of development of aircraft material are analysed,the forecast of development of aircraft material is also out forward.
