中国数字化地震台网是中美地震科技合作议定书下一个非常成功的项目。该网由中美双方联合投资、设计、研制、组装、测试和安装。在双方工程人员的共同努力下,该网于1987年10月在北京通过国际地震专家的技术验收,建成后,安装在9个地震台上的设备正式投入运转,产生了高质量的地震数据。这些数据为地震预报研究及基础地震学研究提供了宝贵的科学依据。由于这一项目对中美双方均十分有益,双方再次达成协议,对现有的台网进行技术
China Digital Seismograph Network is a very successful project under the Sino-U.S. Earthquake Science and Technology Cooperation Protocol. The network by the two sides jointly invest, design, development, assembly, testing and installation. With the joint efforts of engineering staff of both sides, the network passed the technical acceptance of international earthquake experts in Beijing in October 1987. After the completion of the installation, the equipment installed on the nine seismic stations was put into operation and produced high-quality seismic data. These data provide valuable scientific evidences for earthquake prediction research and basic seismology research.
