自从提出“海洋牧场”这一富有创见的渔业新概念以后,世界上许多海洋渔业较为发达的国家正致力于研究尽快实现“海洋牧场”的各种手段。研究和开发深层海水(也称人工涌升流的研究)已作为实现上述新概念的手段之一,正日益为许多国家所重视。美国海洋气象局的罗伯特和埃布尔曾说过,海洋中的最大资源不是海底石油,而是深海中的冷水。在日本已由有关国家机关统一组织海洋、水产研究院、所作为海洋渔业生产(主要是海水增养殖)和海洋工程的尖端技术而加以研究。美国已进行过小规模增养殖实验研究。澳大利亚等国家也已着手准备研究这项新技术。
Since the introduction of the innovative concept of “ocean ranching,” a pioneering fishery, many of the world’s most developed countries in marine fisheries are now devoted to studying the means to expedite the realization of “marine pastures.” Research and development of deep-sea water (also known as artificial ascending flow studies), one of the means by which these new concepts are realized, is increasingly valued by many countries. Robert and Abble of the United States Marine Meteorological Administration once said that the greatest resource in the oceans is not seafloor oil but cold water in the deep sea. In Japan, the Institute of Oceans and Fisheries, which is organized by the relevant state organs, has been studied as a cutting-edge technology in marine fishery production (mainly marine aquaculture) and marine engineering. The United States has conducted experiments on small-scale increased culture experiments. Australia and other countries have also begun to prepare to study this new technology.
