According to customs statistics, from January to October, China’s total import and export value is 3.16157 trillion U.S. dollars, up 6.3% from the same period of last year. Of this total, exports reached 1,670.9 billion U.S. dollars, up 7.8 percent; imports of 1.490670 billion U.S. dollars, up 4.6 percent; and trade surpluses of 180.2 billion U.S. dollars, up 45.6 percent. Trade with major trade partners such as the United States and ASEAN grew steadily and dropped year-on-year with the EU and Japan. In the first 10 months, the bilateral trade volume between China and the United States increased by 9.1%. The total bilateral trade between China and ASEAN increased 9.4%.
