加工用激光器主要是指CO_2激光、YAG激光等非接触式微小加工装置。CO_2激光器,在日本五、六年前才进入商业行列,作为工厂自动化、质量管理、提高工效的有力手段活跃于生产战线。主要用于切割加工。近两三年来,应用范围急剧扩展,需求量激增。金属,非金属等切割加工用的装置主要是1千瓦左右的加工设备。用于焊接、热处理的3~5千瓦的用量也在不断增加。从日本国内市场情况看,估计1984年销售额为175亿日元,预计1985年为280亿日元,都比上一年递增60%左右。
