《暴风雨》是莎士比亚最后时期的一部作品,有一种“和解”的意味。然而,将这一情感与作者的家庭遭遇的不幸,如莎士比亚儿子哈姆奈特之死联系起来的研究却很少。该论题通过分析前人对莎士比亚生平的研究,发现哈姆奈特之死对莎士比亚肉体及精神上造成了极大的创伤,进而联系到对其后期作品的影响。《暴风雨》就是其中之一。该论题以《暴风雨》为例,首先对英雄人物普洛斯彼罗在给予真实女儿米丽达及精神上的女儿爱丽儿自由的过程中饱受肉体与精神上的折磨,最终从女儿获得自由中获得自由进行分析,得出莎士比亚自身经受儿子之死时肉体与精神上所受的创伤,以及作者想要获得精神上解放的渴望。其次对那不勒斯王对儿子之死的悲痛欲绝以至结束生命的悔恨,到儿子出现惊叹之情当面请求宽恕进而获得了内心平静的王者形象进行分析,表明莎士比亚本人渴望得到儿子宽恕从而获得内心的解放。
Tempest is a work of the last period of Shakespeare and has a meaning of “reconciliation.” However, few studies have linked this emotion with the author’s family misfortune, such as the death of Shakespeare’s son Hamnet.
