绪言在燃烧重油时,由于重油中含有硫分,造成锅炉空气预热器等的低温腐蚀,同时硫分从锅炉烟囱排向大气,由于随烟尘降落而造成大气污染,所有这些都成为燃烧重油的问题之一。日本所用的重油多数是从中近东输入的原油,重油含硫较高,所以对重油中的硫分是特别值得研究的课题,目前正研究从重油中直接脱硫或采取注入附加剂的方法,而采用低过量空气系数改善锅炉燃烧的方法是非常有效的,有关单位对此所作的研究都取得了很大的成绩。低过量空气燃烧也称作低氧燃烧,这项技术在欧洲研究和发展得很快,近年来日本的锅炉运行单位和制造厂也开始重视这项研究工作,并且已发表了不少有关低氧燃烧方面的文章。拔柏葛日立公司在英国柏拔葛公司协助下,兴建了很多低氧燃烧的锅炉,现将其中一部分锅炉的概况作如下介绍。
