由二苯基二氯硅烷和硼酸在溶剂中、N2气下进行脱盐酸缩合反应而生成的聚二苯基硼硅氧烷(PBp)及其衍生物具有热失重开始温度高(400℃)、耐氧化、可溶、可熔等特点,在非氧化性气氛中经热处理可转成碳化硅。用PBp衍生物的溶液浸渍石墨制品,经热处理后,在800℃空气中,保温6h氧化损失率与同等条件下的未浸渍的石墨制品相比,小一倍多,大大提高了石墨制品的高温耐氧化性。
