对于“左翼”、“左翼文学”所指为何,在目前的左翼评论和研究中存在着巨大的分歧。本文选择丁玲晚期创作的主要作品,作为一窥其左翼思想的范本,以期对相关问题有所梳理。丁玲在70年代末、80年代初的创作与当时正在推进的“思想解放”运动形成了某种程度上的悖离,《“牛棚”小品》《风雪人间》不将自己被打倒的苦难历史作为“伤痕”来展览;《在严寒的日子里》继续书写阶级斗争;《杜晚香》执着于塑造“社会主义新人”的形象……丁玲晚期作品所体现的创作理念和价值判断,构成了对于一种当时正在发生,而今日益明显的意识形态的反动,而恰好在这里,显示了“何谓左翼”的基本依据和作为左翼的批判力量。
