新中国诞生不久,金仲华受宋庆龄委托创办对外宣传刊物《中国建设》(现易名《今日中国》)并担任首任社长,为对外宣传新中国付出大量心血。在纪念他今年4月诞辰100周年之际,为缅怀他对杂志社的关怀,我想起在总编室工作时,曾见到他遗留下的一些信件,尽管是片断,但字里行间,洋溢着这位宋庆龄的挚友、国际传播专家对《中国建设》的殷切关怀与期望,其中有转达宋庆龄指示的,也有他本人的指导与建议。现在重新学习,对今天的对外传播仍有现实意义。
Shortly after the founding of New China, Jin Zhonghua was commissioned by Soong Ching Ling to start a foreign propaganda publication “China Construction” (now known as “Today’s China”) and served as the first president, devoting a great deal of effort to publicizing New China.
