唐近豪,广东潮汕人,生于1946年。新加坡国家美术总会会长、现代画会会长、亚洲美术联盟委员。张晓凌(教授、中国国家画院副院长):从发展的时序上看,国内抽象艺术的“东方转向”要晚于唐近豪。从这个意义上讲,唐近豪应该是华人抽象艺术“东方转向”的先知之一。在他的作品中,东方的宇宙观、绘画方式、结构与色彩已内化为全新的抽象艺术理念与方法,在完整地呈现一个艺术家关于东方的想象的同时,也为抽象艺术领域提供了标志性的图像与风格。
